As part of the program, you will be staying at a high-quality student residence within Zone 1 and Zone 2 in the center of London. You will be in a shared room with one other participant from the program with private bathroom and toilet. The residence is fully equipped and you have complete access to a kitchen that you are able to use on the same floor as your room. You will live together with the rest of our group of participants. The intern housing in London provides common facilities such as laundry, cafeteria, meeting room. Common spaces are located on each floor in the building. Conveniently located in the center of London, the intern housing is only 10-15 minutes walk from a nearby tube station.

Public transportation is without doubt the most common way to navigate and get around London. The public transportation system in London is very efficient and follows strict schedules. When living in London for the summer, you can expect to use public transport, especially the tube, on a daily basis to commute to your internship. The tube operates generally between approximately 5:30 am to midnight, so travel in the early morning hours may involve night buses and/or taxis.
You will receive an Oyster Card upon arrival which allows you to take advantage of the public transportation system with unlimited rides with the tube and bus within Zone 1 and 2.
London is an exciting, dynamic city, and we’ll be with you every step of the way as you explore it. Our International Internship Program Program in London is run by a dedicated and knowledgeable team of Absolute staff. We have years of experience welcoming international students to London and ensuring the safety of our students abroad.
The security department is on call 24 hours a day and 24-7 front desk security is available for you at your housing. Each participant must present his or her Residence ID card in order to enter the residence and access the facilities. Visitors are also required to sign in at the front desk and leave their ID card.
All cultural excursions and weekend activities in London have been coordinated with student safety as our top priority. Upon arrival, you’ll have an orientation to familiarize yourself with the housing facilities, neighborhood and public transport. You’ll also be provided with key contact information along with guidance on health-, emergency procedures and staying safe throughout your summer in London.
