If anyone told me they were in London and didn’t know what to do – I would probably look at them strangely trying to decide if they were joking or not… There is so much to see and do right at your doorstep, how could you not know what to do!?

With being only 2 hours away from Paris by Eurostar, why wouldn’t you go for the weekend! At the early hour of what I think was 5:30am we made our way to Kings Cross Station – half asleep, excited and not knowing what was going to happen over the weekend. Fair to say we packed it all in! My feet were aching so bad they had their own pulse still days later.

From Notre Dame – Traditional Food – Shopping & Experiencing the Hostel Night Life, it was an interesting 1^st day.

A few of us woke up worse for wear Sunday morning but all pushed through to make it the rest of the day, starting with Arch de Triumph – Eiffel Tour and The Louvre. Can’t forget to get a crepe on the side of the street, as well as stopping for some French onion soup, Well-done France!

Have a spare day over the weekend… Well Stonehenge and Bath are only 1-2 hours by bus; why not make a day of it? Driving through beautiful British Country side and somehow making it through the smallest streets I have ever seen! As well as seeing some Iconic sites! Or head to Brighton, a small British town along the British Seashore. Just make sure you go on a sunny day, the rain just puts a downer on the whole day and you can enjoy it as much.

Spending the day in London? Explore the city, with the countless amounts of markets to visit over the weekends and sites to see. Everything from Camden Markets, to Absolute Trip on the London Eye, or even a stroll around the Tower of London or down the famous Oxford Street for some shopping therapy.

Don’t want to head home straight after work? That’s fine! Head to a pub or roof top bar organised by Absolute for some after work drinks and catch up after a long day with your fellow interns. Absolute go above and beyond to organise after work catch ups, and it’s a great time to visit somewhere new an exciting, generally with an amazing view of the city! Then why not head go for a walk around the city to a near-by restaurant or street food with countless options to suit anyone.

Absolute organise a great range of things to do, not all compulsory and you can choose what you would like to attend or not, so there is loads of time to explore the city yourself! The only thing that is “compulsory” are the career speaker series, these are only twice a month, and generally quite interesting, and the chance to ask a professional how they excelled in their job and things to know about London if you are planning on staying a bit longer.
