In the real world as I have learnt through my London internship you must always put yourself forward and no matter what the task is, every little bit helps the company and they do recognize the effort, passion and drive you show. In my internship in London by showing drive, determination and passion for what I do, Tradedoubler recognized this and allowed me to utilize my skills learnt in TAFE and University to give me my real first break into the event management industry.

This has also inspired me to go back to Australian with this new experience and use it in my everyday life. Having a positive attitude towards life, your friends and grasping opportunities with both hands will really get you a long way in the world.

Another experience Absolute has taught me is to network, network, network! What’s the worst that can happen putting yourself forward and saying hello, it provides a social platform, gives you confidence and also allows you to talk to people you normally wouldn’t. I have found by coming on the Absolute internship program that I have gained a lot of confidence with meeting new people and a friendly hello in the hallway goes a long way. That’s priceless.
