There are two key visas associated with internships in Montreal:
Work Holiday Visa – IEC (International Exchange Canada)
The application for this visa is online and the application takes between 12 to 16 weeks. The cost of this visa is $250 CAD. This visa is valid for the duration of the internship. Students will be instructed to apply upon acceptance into the program to allow time for processing. There are quotas applicable per country, so upon application our admission team will advise you on your specific case.

Australia, Belgium, Chile, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom.
Open Work Permit – For US passport holders only
There are two parts to this visa application, taking up to 10 weeks to process. This visa is valid for the duration of the internship. Students will be instructed to apply upon acceptance into the program to allow adequate time for processing. Total cost is US$550.
