Absolute Internship consults with multiple agencies and partners:
The health and safety of students is the primary consideration for all decisions. However, most of our programs are not at risk at this stage.
We canceled all our programs before June 1st. We have not suspended any programs due to the virus for our Summer 2020. We welcome students of many different nationalities and we have students joining us this summer.
If a Program is suspended or postponed Absolute Internship will try to reroute our students to a safer location if possible, or provide other options like changing the Summer Program to another date this year or even next year.
Absolute Internship understands that personal tolerance for risk may vary, and that final decisions will be made between a student and their family/supporters. If a student chooses to withdraw from the program, the student will be subject to the terms of the applicable withdrawal policy which can be found in the Terms and Conditions.
If there is a travel ban in place or a travel ban in the host country for your country of origin within 4 weeks before your program start date, you will be given the option to postpone your program to a later date. Please note that we will waive all applicable administration fees. Please note that each student will be responsible for rebooking their travel arrangements for the new program date.
If we are unable to travel to the original city of the weekend activity, we will have a second option for that weekend. By the time the program starts, we will already know if this is the case and we will inform you all. The alternative weekend activities will always be similar to the original one.
We are closely monitoring the situation and evolution of the Covid-19 outbreak. If the airline decides to cancel your trip they will most likely rebook you into a different flight. Airlines may reduce the amount of flights due to lack of passengers. During specific weeks, they may stop all flights (e.g. to Europe) until further notice. If such a situation were to happen, it means your home country would not allow travel from your host city.
If there is a quarantine, the country that quarantines you will provide all that you need. For example, if you are quarantined when coming back to your home country, then you will be provided with housing and food most likely near the airport. Your country won’t deny you entry but may quarantine you. This is a decision made by each country individually.
We strongly recommend that students purchase fully refundable airline tickets and/or trip cancellation insurance to safeguard against losses or penalties associated with withdrawal or program cancellation. We don’t assume any responsibility for such losses or penalties.
All fall 2020 programs (as well as summer programs) remain on track. Absolute Internship has not suspended any of its fall education abroad programs, but administrators continue to closely monitor the situation.
Absolute Internship will contact students directly via email with updates as soon as they become available in case of any updates.
