The Absolute Ambassador community is created by Alumni who have evolved and grown personally and professionally during their experiences abroad. Ambassadors are experts on their summer programs and they are the best individuals to give future participants guidance, tips and ideas of what they need to know before embarking on this experience.
Each year we welcome students from all around the world to join our #AbsoluteTribe. Last year, over 55 different nationalities were represented in our programs!
We had the pleasure of sitting down with one of our colleagues; Maria Pizzo, she is an Italian-American expat who has been living in Spain for five years. In this interview, we will delve into her story from becoming a Program Coordinator to a full-time employee at Absolute Internship.
We were very excited to interview Emily Zhang, an Absolute Internship Alumnus from Columbia University. Keep reading to discover her success story! A huge thanks to Emily for her time!
We were delighted to interview Benjamin Zeffertt, an Absolute Internship Alumnus who was part of the Lisbon Internship Program this past summer. Enjoy Benjy's perspective into life before, during and after an Absolute Internship. A huge thanks to Benjy for his time!
We've all heard the clichés about traveling and going abroad. Saint Augustine is attributed with the quote that said it best: "The world is a book and those who do not travel only read the first page". While 20ish centuries have passed since the philosopher may or may not have said this, the idea still stands. Only now, we have the means to explore the farthest points of the earth, immersing ourselves in local culture and building a resume while we are at it. If only St. Augustine knew about Absolute Internship back then.
Absolute has been providing life-changing experiences for 10 years now. We wanted to spread some love for our anniversary, so we’re launching a new Summer Internship Program!
To do that, we chose a very special location for us. One of Absolute Internship's founders, Aurèlie, is originally from France and has lived in the capital in the past. Moreover, most of our staff have been to Paris and have experience and connections in the city.
I always tell students how incredible and brave they all are by getting out of their comfort zones and making the important decision of going abroad for their summer internship. Fun? They will have loads of it, but they should keep in mind the main reason they are here is to show their talent as professionals and to improve their skills, in order to develop their future careers. In fact, if we analyze carefully, the same applies to Absolute Internship Program Coordinators - in my case, at the London Summer Program.
