Seoul (서울) is unlike anywhere in the world; ranking 10th among the world’s largest economic powers and 5th in the Asia-Pacific region, South Korea is famous for its spectacular rise from one of the poorest countries in the world to a developed, high-income country in just one generation. Seoul is known for its lively neighborhoods, eclectic fashion scene, and its delicious local street food, as well as for being the home of K-Pop (Hallyu). Despite being part of a technologically advanced country, Seoul is famous for its historical sites such as Bongeunsa Temple, located in the famous Gangnam street, as well as its traditional culture.
