Events in Montreal

The Montreal Internship Program provides exciting weekend events in order for you to make the most out of your time living in Canada. Although you will be working during the day, our Montreal events aim to give you full advantage of what the city has to offer. Even though your internship is the most important, it’s essential that you take advantage of living abroad.

Day Trip

Spend a day trip or a weekend in a nearby city or region such as the Iles de Boucherville National Park,  the Calvaire d’Oka trail, Mont Tremblant and exploring Canada’s culture and history.

Ottawa Weekend Trip

Ottawa is Canada’s capital, in the east of southern Ontario, near the city of Montréal and the U.S. border. Sitting on the Ottawa River, it has at its centre Parliament Hill, with grand Victorian architecture and museums such as the National Gallery of Canada, with noted collections of indigenous and other Canadian art. The park-lined Rideau Canal is filled with boats in summer and ice-skaters in winter.

Visit Quebec City

Québec City sits on the Saint Lawrence River in Canada’s mostly French-speaking Québec province. Dating to 1608, it has a fortified colonial core, Vieux-Québec and Place Royale, with stone buildings and narrow streets. This area is the site of the towering Château Frontenac Hotel and imposing Citadelle of Québec. The Petit Champlain district’s cobblestone streets are lined with bistros and boutiques.

Group Meals & Activities

Absolute arranges group dinners with all interns in typical local restaurants. A great way to taste what Canada has to offer in terms of cuisine and drinks!

Unsponsored Events

We want to help you build friendships and get to know your new city. Our Absolute Internship staff will be planning unsponsored events for the entire group every week. These events are voluntary, but we recommend that you attend them. Our Montreal events will help familiarise you with the city, culture, and your fellow interns!
